Jacob Sesinyi, an accredited public relation practitioner from the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa, is one of the foremost communications experts in Botswana. He has been in the field of communications since 1994, and has vast experience in reputation management, event management, media relations, employee relations, stakeholder management, and government relations.
Jacob is the founder and president of his own communications consultancy, Corporate Interaction Communication Consultancy, which is based out of Botswana. The company provides a range of services, from building outreach campaigns that are grounded on compelling and consistent messages to identifying and developing strategic alliances. Corporate Interaction has worked with a number of prestigious organisations, including First National Bank of Botswana and Botswana Television.
Prior to starting his own firm, Jacob was the communications director for Debswana Diamond Company, the largest producer of diamonds in the world as well as the biggest non-government employer in Botswana. He introduced the first comprehensive communications strategy, communications policy, and grant policy in the company. Jacob also led the Diamonds for Development project, a campaign that aimed to educate the international media, influential public policy makers, and consumers in the US, the UK, the European Union, and Japan about the benefits and importance of the diamond industry to Botswana.
