Pharma in underdeveloped markets

In areas such as sub-Saharan Africa, the main focus is on ensuring that the poorest have rapid access to the latest vaccines and to treatment, particularly in HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, and other neglected diseases. Chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes are also becoming more prevalent among the poor of South Asia.

Baird’s CMC has extensive experience working with pharmaceutical companies, donors, multilaterals, and NGOs on access issues. We can advise on strategy, partnering, policy issues, and crisis management. We have also conducted programs for organisations undertaking clinical trials in emerging markets, with a particular interest in stakeholder and community relations.
