Project example: Baird’s CMC consultants partnered with a national political party to help it win a general election and form the government. It was the political party’s first decisive win in more than a decade. We assessed the current political environment as well as the incumbent party’s election campaign. Our consultants identified key voter segments that the incumbent political party had neglected during its term: youth, women, and the rural poor, particularly farmers. On the basis of this in-depth research and analysis, we formulated a more broad-based communications strategy for our client, targeting key segments and focusing on pertinent national issues. We customised messages to regional situations, emphasised our client’s historical contribution to the country, leveraged each available media opportunity, and came up with various new issue-based ideas for better media coverage. The result – a decisive win for our client.
